How To Tint Your Car Windows

You can darken your car's windows without paying a lot for a professional tint. Windows can be tinted through the following basic process:

• Put on your latex gloves and clean the windows. Remove all grease and fingerprints. The windows must be properly cleaned and prepped to take the film.
• Afterwards, the film is precisely cut to fit the windows.
• Mix dish soap with warm water and pour it into the spray bottle. Spray the inside of the window with the soapy water. Remove the clear film from the window tint exposing the sticky side. Apply to the inside of the window, which should still be wet.
• The film is then adhered to the window with mounting solution, then squeegee smooth. You should end up with a clear window, free of "bubbles," with just the right amount of tinting.
• Let the tint dry for at least 10 minutes. Use the razor blade to trim the tint about a sixteenth of an inch below the window. Tinted windows can be cleaned after 30 days to ensure proper bonding.

Although tinted windows can be done on your own, a professional will execute the tinting job much better. They have the necessary tools and skills to get the job done right. Of course, you should check out the installer to see if his or her shop is professional and if he or she is a member of the International Window Film Association.
